It's been so great having some spare time to experiment since the Christmas madness has fizzled out. It seems Spring is finally here, the days are getting brighter and warmer already and our first daffodil flowered in the garden yesterday! I love the creative energy and motivation Spring seems to instil in me, and I have already begun to channel it all into making lots of lovely new nature inspired things, of which these are the first few examples. What's more we bought our first batch of seeds and compost for the new gardening year today, I'm so excited to get stuck in!

Little robins nests..
I spent this morning making tiny little robins nests from embroidery floss and moss and filled them with lovely pale blue and speckled eggs. I am a little obsessed with robins eggs, when I was a child I was utterly enchanted if I found a bit of bright blue egg shell in the hedgerow on a Spring day.
I was really looking forward to making some miniature terrarium pendants with these, but unfortunately I can't find the findings I need anywhere, but I'll order some today and get these finished in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
