Sneak Peek....

Just a little preview of some treasures being made at the Little Ruby Robin studio lately...

Large glass pendant with a couple loved-up little Blue-Tits nestled behind a glass cameo with a key to my heart charm for safe-keeping..

I'm so happy with how my gift boxes have turned out...

 I love the antiquated charm of the brass findings...

Darling mother bird with nest earrings made with French style ear wire hooks..

These come in an even dinkier little box of their own.
Keep in touch for more updates on my exciting new craft venture coming soon!

DIY: fabric bow ring

I've made myself a few of these over the last week, nearly one for every outfit so far! I think they're absolutely adorable. Although it took a bit of experimenting to get the shape of the bows just right, I've managed to come up with a quick an easy way to make them without any sophisticated craft tools.

* Pretty fabric scraps - a fat quarter would be loads
* Scissors  - preferably fabric scissors, but any good sharp pair will do!
* Needle and thread in colour of fabric
* Dress-makers pencil - a regular pencil will do too
* Ring bases with flat pads - available from bead and craft shops
* Glue gun or some strong multi-purpose glue - I used a glue-gun but a stronger glue would be better!
* Iron and somewhere to press your fabric
* Ruler

Window to the past: part 1

This is the first in a series of posts in which I would like to share our old photos with you. This one, of my pocket-watch pendant came from an Alice in Wonderland inspired personal style shoot we once did.
